In 2001, TAF Buying Service was founded by Edward Angelo Enrique in his living room to work as a freelance U.S. buying agent for Fenwick Ltd. in the UK. In 2005, TAF opened a commercial office in NY’s garment district. TAF expanded its international presence to include Europe, Asia and the Middle East by adding clients such as Harvey Nichols Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Little Nolita in Japan, Salam in the UAE and Oman and Harvey Nichols Hong Kong. Prior to opening his own buying office, Edward worked for Actis-Grande Associates, the prestigious international buying office for stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Holt Renfrew. Edward managed the accounts of Lane Crawford and House of Fraser. In 2005, Edward also served as Creative Director of Access USA, scouting designers from Southeast Asia and helping to launch their U.S. business through merchandising and market consulting. Edward has also attended the fashion weeks of emerging markets such as Brazil, Singapore and Toronto as a designer scout.
